Carolyn Hodge, Principal & Founder
Carolyn Hodge is a Bay Area recruitment expert focusing on building entrepreneurial teams for human services non-profit organizations and professional services agencies - boutique PR and marketing teams, and sophisticated registered investment advisors. Known for creativity in sourcing hard-to-find candidates and an extremely high candidate satisfaction and retention rate, Carolyn brings an authentic and engaging voice to her client opportunities.
With senior level experience in startup management teams she excels at finding a fit for entrepreneurial teams. In the non-profit executive search arena she has filled Executive Director, Chief Advancement Officer role for a patient advocacy foundation, and a Director of Programs for Aging Services. Carolyn enjoys bringing her marketing acumen to building her client employer brands, and developing on-going relationships in key non-profit leadership communities.
She acts as a retained recruitment consultant for Whistlestop, the active aging and special needs transportation non-profit, filling over 80 positions in the course of 12 months, with a 100% 1 year retention rate to-date on manager level positions.
Carolyn began her career at Edelman Public Relations in Washington D.C., spent seven years leading communications and marketing for a non-profit privacy association and managed the organization’s transition to a now 30M+ for profit. She holds an MBA from Babson College and a BA in International Affairs from George Washington University.
Leslie Gruettner, Recruiter
Leslie has passionately spent over 10 years as a communications and marketing account manager for clients in a variety of industries including healthcare, travel and food & beverage primarily focused on marketing, recruiting and business processes. As a recruiter, Leslie’s passion is matching the ideal candidate with the position that suits them. She takes candidate abilities, both client and candidate needs and opportunity into account when conducting a search. She has focused on searches in the areas of administrative support, restaurant management and restaurant front of house staff with her most recent work at Marengo Restaurant Group.
Leslie holds a B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of San Francisco.
Ariana Johar, Recruiter
Ariana brings a decade of project management, product marketing and leadership in the high-tech and telecom industries. She has a keen insight into building teams to deliver high quality customer service and marketing solutions. Her passion for helping executive directors build strong non-profit leadership and development comes from her roles in various community organizations across the country, including board chair of Sunday Friends Foundation in San Jose and steering committee member for United Way Silicon Valley Young Leaders Society.
Ariana holds an MBA from George Washington University School of Business and a BS from University of Arizona.
